Music at St. Simon's
Congregational singing is at the heart of our worship together and for many, music is a way into experiencing the presence of the Holy One.
Participants in the St. Simon's Music Ministry delight in God's beauty as we experience it in music and our mission is to lead the congregation in worship and bless our community and the world with the music that is cultivated in this place.
If you enjoy participating in music, there is a way for you to be involved! The choir always welcomes new voices to our weekly 7pm rehearsals and as we sing in worship 2-3 times per month. If you play an instrument you are encouraged to share your gifts in worship- we'd particularly love to have the participation of guitar, flute, and percussion on a more regular basis. And we'd love to start a regular handbell group again- a perfect opportunity for new music makers and veteran musicians alike.
